[UK TEAM]
This project explores how it feels for young people from refugee and migrant communities, to access cultural spaces in Greater Manchester and the UK. We’re interested in exploring if spaces like galleries, libraries, university buildings and theatres are places where you feel welcome, included and heard.
Are you aged between 17-24 years old and from a refugee or migrant background or seeking asylum/Undocumented?
Are you interested in exploring how people from refugee and migrant communities are represented and recognised within cultural/ elite spaces and how this affects feelings of belonging?
Would you like to connect with cultural organisations, get creative, meet like-minded people and share your work and voice across Europe?
If you answered YES to the above, we would like to invite you to participate in a series of workshops with your age group to explore these themes and get creative, or to simply share your views with us. The first two workshops will take place on Wednesday 1 December and Wednesday 15 December 2021, 5.00-7:00pm, at Manchester Metropolitan University.
➡️Please email webelong@rapar.org.uk before Sunday 28th November to confirm your attendance or if you have any questions. Your expenses will be covered.
